Information for attendees with disabilities
What must attendees with disabilities consider when buying tickets?
Attendees with disabilities who possess an official disability pass can book a Weekend Festival ticket and a Parking & Camping ticket in their desired category and will receive a complimentary ticket for an accompanying person.
To buy Weekend Festival tickets as well as camping tickets in the General, Green and Rock’n’Roll categories, please contact either Frankfurt Ticket on 069 – 13 40 400 or Eventim on 01806 – 57 00 70.
Camping tickets in the Caravan Camping category are only available for attendees with disabilities by calling Eventim on 01806 – 57 00 70.
Caravan parking badges for zones B, C and D are only available via the ticket shop at www.rock-am-ring.com. No discounts are granted on the badges.
WHERE IS THE CAMPING AREA FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES?
In principle, attendees with disabilities can use all camping areas for which they have a valid ticket. Anyone who needs wheelchair-accessible showering facilities and a power supply can use a campsite with special facilities. The camping area for attendees with disabilities is located in area B2, directly next to the main entrance. The site has wheelchair-accessible sanitary facilities and showers as well as power supplied by the organiser. You will need a General Parking & Camping category camping ticket for B2.
WHY IS THERE REGISTRATION FOR VEHICLES IN THE CAMPING AREA FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES?
Many attendees with disabilities are strongly dependent on support vehicles as their base. Attendees with vehicles need much more space in the camping area than attendees who arrive with just a tent. To be able to plan the use of the areas available to us in a way that better meets demand, registration of vehicles is necessary for this area.
This registration is only possible by sending an email to [email protected] and providing the following information: last name, first name, ticket number and vehicle type (motorhome, caravan, minibus or car).
There are 125 spaces available, which will be assigned in the order that emails are received. Attendees with an official disability pass will receive preferential treatment regarding the allocation of the spaces.
Registration is bound to the vehicle and a ticket holder. In the camping area for attendees with disabilities, every vehicle must be registered and every attendee must have a festival ticket.
In principle, all attendees with a General Parking & Camping ticket can enter this camping area.
HOW MUCH DOES REGISTRATION COST?
Vehicle registration for attendees with disabilities is free of charge! When registering, you must state the type of vehicle and provide a festival ticket number. Once on site, the holder of the registration will receive the access permit for the vehicle they have registered. Registration is strongly advised in order to guarantee a vehicle space in the camping area for attendees with disabilities.
Trailers: just as elsewhere, taking vehicle trailers into the camping area for attendees with disabilities is not allowed. The only exceptions are caravans and trailer tents.
DOES REGISTRATION GUARANTEE ME A SPACE?
Yes, but rather than being reserved individually, the spaces are assigned according to availability. From 12pm on Friday, free capacity in the area will also be assigned to attendees on the spot without the need for registration. Registration holders are then no longer guaranteed a space!
AM I ALSO ALLOWED TO PUT UP TENTS NEXT TO A VEHICLE?
Yes, that is allowed. As a rule, the same amount of space as taken up by the vehicle can be used again for a tent. In doing so, you must keep rescue routes free and follow the instructions of the stewards when parking and setting up.
WHERE DO I CHECK IN?
Check in and the registration check takes place at the entry to camping area B2 for attendees with disabilities.
WHAT OTHER RULES APPLY IN THE CAMPING AREA FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES?
With the exception of the Green Camping rules, the same rules apply as in the other car parks and campsites. Particular attention should be paid to the parking and camping rules displayed at the entrances.
WHAT CAR PARK CAN I USE AS AN ATTENDEE WITH DISABILITIES IF I DO NOT WANT TO CAMP?
Attendees with disabilities who do not want to use the Rock am Ring camping areas can, in addition to their festival ticket, purchase a 3-day parking permit at a cost of €40 for the multi-storey car park at the Nürburgring Info Center.
These tickets can only be ordered by sending an email to [email protected] and providing the following information:
- Surname, first name, address
- Ticket number
- Scan/photo of official disability pass
Upon receipt of the order, attendees will receive a separate invoice. The entry tickets for the car park will be sent 2-3 weeks before the festival.
