Information on GREEN CAMPING
WHAT SITES ARE INCLUDED IN THE GREEN CAMPING AREA?
A GREEN CAMPING AREA is available again in 2018. It is once more located in Nürburg:
GREEN CAMPING AREA D9/D9a/D11
This area comprises the campsite D9 in Nürburg. There are 2,500 parking spaces available for the GREEN CAMPING AREA in D9, D9a and D11. The bus stop for special buses to and from Koblenz, Ahrbrück and Cologne railway stations and Cologne/Bonn airport is 400m away, on site D10, meaning that arriving by plane and/or train and bus is simple. The north entrance is 1,500m away on foot, and the Black circle route shuttlebus goes through Nürburg, stopping at Kirchweg, to the bus station at the main entrance. The GREEN CAMPING check-in for this area is at the wristband issue point in D9. Here you will receive your GREEN CAMPING wristband, which gives you access to the camping grounds.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO USE THE GREEN CAMPING AREA?
To use this area, you need a Green Parking & Camping ticket. Introducing a distinct ticket category means the separate registration required up to 2017 is no longer necessary. When you produce your Green Parking & Camping ticket at GREEN CAMPING check-in at the wristband issue point in D9, you will receive a fabric GREEN CAMPING wristband which entitles you to enter the GREEN CAMPING AREA. In the GREEN CAMPING AREA, you will be directed by the stewards to a suitable location based on the on-site circumstances. Weather conditions may mean it is necessary to direct attendees to suitable alternative areas upon arrival. Please also make sure to follow the stewards’ instructions.
WHEN DOES THE GREEN CAMPING AREA OPEN?
The GREEN CAMPING AREA is scheduled to open at 12pm on Wednesday, 30 May 2018.
WHAT RULES APPLY IN THE GREEN CAMPING AREA?
Several special camping rules apply in the GREEN CAMPING AREA, which we ask that attendees follow if they want to camp in this area.
To simplify refuse disposal, waste receptacles have been positioned at various points in the area, which will be emptied daily, and multiple times if necessary. Every attendee declares they are willing to take tents and gazebos they have put up back home with them after the event or to personally dispose of them in the waste collection bins provided on site.
Trailers cannot be taken into the GREEN CAMPING AREA or pushed into it. Tents and gazebos can be put up, but no other structures. Camping stools are of course allowed, but no large furniture like armchairs, sofas, beds or refridgerators. Just as elsewhere, attendees are not permitted to bring electrical generators into the GREEN CAMPING AREA or to use them there. We ask that you remain quiet and not disturb your neighbours on the campsite from 1am to 8am.
