Descendents

The Descendents are a punk band from Manhattan Beach, California, formed in 1978. They are known in the scene for their own style, which is often referred to as pop punk. Together with bands such as Dag Nasty and Bad Religion, they were influential in the melodycore genre. The line-up initially consisted of the three members Tony Lombardo, Frank Navetta and Bill Stevenson. In 1979 they recorded their first 7" EP "Ride the Wild". They found a permanent singer in Milo Aukerman, with whom they recorded their second 7" EP "Fat" in 1980. Since then, it has been impossible to imagine the scene without them.
