Holding Absence

Founded in 2015, Holding Absence quickly found a style in which emotional lyrics are just as important as musical intensity. Their songs shift between powerful guitars, soaring melodies, and aggressive screams, with vocalist Lucas Woodland bringing these different sides together. The band frequently explores personal themes such as loss, relationships, and mortality. Their 2021 album „The Greatest Mistake of My Life“ placed this side particularly at the forefront, before „The Noble Art of Self Destruction“ once again emphasized the band’s heavier and more intense side. In 2026, they released their fourth studio album, „Modern Life Is Lonely“.
